5 processes an SME can automate today

27 September 2026

You don't need to turn the company upside down: a few well-chosen processes are often enough to free up hours of work every week.

When automation comes up, many SMEs picture long, expensive projects. In reality most of the companies we speak to start from very concrete situations: emails handled by hand, data copied from one document to another, quotes rebuilt from scratch every time.

1. Sales email management

Automatically classifying incoming requests, routing them to the right person and preparing a reply draft is one of the first automations with the most visible return: the team replies sooner and no request is left hanging.

2. Data from PDF to your systems

Orders, delivery notes and invoices often arrive as PDFs. An automated flow reads the document, extracts the data and enters it into your management system or spreadsheet, removing the copy-paste and the errors that come with it.

3. Quotations

If a quote starts from a previous file edited every time, a workflow that generates the document from CRM data cuts the time from hours to minutes and makes the result consistent.

4. Sales follow-ups

Opportunities shouldn't be lost for lack of time: an automation that reminds you when to contact a customer, or sends the first communication for you, keeps the pipeline alive.

5. Finding documents

A knowledge base with smart search lets you find procedures, price lists and specifications in seconds instead of asking around by email.

The advice is always the same: start with one process, measure the time you get back, then decide the next step.
